The hidden cost isn’t the bandwidth. It’s the waiting.

Users don’t care about your service-oriented architecture. They care that the button takes three seconds to respond. That three seconds is taboo yube. And it’s entirely self-inflicted.

The “Gotcha” Section: The Latency Tax

You are paying a tax right now. You don’t see it on your invoice, but you feel it in your churn rate.
